Baan Jakawan is a very large seven-bedroom property, but it’s more than just another high-end villa. The thought and detail which has gone into the layout, both architecturally and through the interior design package not only maximizes the outstanding views, but it also creates a home which continues to excite and amaze you as you walk around.
On this project Oriental Living worked closely with the owners, even conceptualizing the villa through creating the name, “Jakawan’ a‘universe without limits.’ Working as a team, the owners and Oriental Living chose each piece together, from soft furnishings to cutlery, combining experience, style and taste. With such a large property the challenge was creating a space that was open in design, yet intimate with different layered dimensions, creating opulence at its best.
The Box Furniture dark wood dining table and chairs, contrasts beautifully with the warm woods tones of the floor and Thai style roof. The lounge area with its cream sofa and banana bark tables,work perfectly in creating a separate space in the same room.
The greeting sala with its breathtaking views and blurred divisions between the indoor and outdoor, is easy and uncomplicated in design. The deep set sofas tempt you with their sumptuous feel and the burnt orange cushions add warmth and texture to an outstanding welcoming lounge, that beckons you to take just a moment, to take it all in.
The dark wood Box furniture four-poster bed adds a very contemporary and confident statement to the bedroom. The use of the soft taupe and blue cushions with the bed-runner add a lighter texture,mixing in style, masculine and feminine. The charcoal rugs help interchange the two spaces within the same room and the opulently styled Box lamps with their gold hues and sensual finishes, are the perfect accent for the bedroom.
This outdoor lounge uses Tipota furnishings with its soft curves, to play against the harder lines present on this terrace. The green colour is a favorite of the owners and works perfectly with the colour palette of the surrounding vegetation and has interchangeable covers.
